Removable highlighter tape for guided reading (Maryjo Callahan)

Removable highlighter tape for guided reading (Maryjo Callahan)
Maryjo showed me how she uses transparent, removable highlighter tape during guided reading. The options are endless for multiple grade levels (in fact, I'm sharing this with the junior highs and high schools).
- At primary grades, instructors may ask students to identify site words.
- Students may identify words they don't know (for further exploration).
- Students may highlight parts of speech or vocabulary.
- When responding to literature, students may highlight text evidence (CCSS!) for use in writing.
- In intermediate grades, students may identify main ideas, topic sentences, and thesis statements in expository text.
